A resposta dos Necromantes foi imediata, feita de Feitiços perversos. O espaço da adarva onde se reunia a Pyros-Paterna enegreceu e a forma circular, os glifos vermelhos de uma maldição, desenharam-se na pedra. Miriam caiu de joelhos, tal como todos os soldados apanhados dentro do círculo. Um oceano de sangue envolveu-a, pesado, asfixiante, cheio de pérfidas vozes, sussurros de malícia, propostas obscenas. Viu um dos seus homens cair, escudo vão e armadura trespassados por Feitiço, por ululante caveira feita de sombras. Viu outro enlouquecer, largar lança e empunhar spatha contra companheiro indefeso. A Magia Negra, energia do Caos e Destruição, é uma maldição para quem a usa; torna cada pensamento uma obsessão, cada dia um tormento, cada noite um pesadelo. Mesmo os que a recusam, com o tempo envenenados pela tentação, acabam por se render à arte, que em sortilégios e maldições, em feitiços de ferimento e pestilência tornam o sofrimento do próximo um deleite, um vício. Dos Magos Negros, muitos seguem o caminho da Necromância, por escárnio contra a vida e morte, pelo fascínio da imortalidade.		With vicious Spells the Necromancers replied. The wall walk where Pyros-Paterna gathered turned black, and red glyphs were cast over stone - the circles of a curse. Miriam fell to her knees, as soldiers did, all those inside the ring. An ocean of blood overwhelmed her, heavy, suffocating, full of insidious voices, whispered malice, filthy suggestions. She saw one of her men fall, futile shield and armor pierced by Spell - a howling skull of shadows made. She saw another, mad driven, casting spear aside, and grasping spatha against defenseless companion. Black Magic is the energy of Chaos and Destruction. It's a curse to those who use it, turning each thought an obsession, each day a torment, each night a nightmare. Even the few who refuse it, with time poisoned and enticed, finally yield to the art, casting charm and curse, spells of wound and pestilence, delighted and addicted to the suffering of others. Some Black Mages tread the path of Necromancy, fascinated with immortality and the mockery against life and death.
