Ulfric partilhou olhar pasmo com soldados da Guarda. A área de meio circulo, arruinada, era cercada por largas colunas de pedra negra, muitas delas já quebradas, tombadas em bloco e lasca. O chão, trabalhado com lajes de amarelo mármore, estalara e afundara, até formar cova. As paredes ainda mostravam, algures, forra de mosaico ocre ou turquesa, mas grande parte caíra, numa derrocada brutal. E, em frente, imponente perante os guerreiros, dois gigantescos portões de ouro assomavam, resplandecentes no trabalho, no relevo de metal, entre grande quantidade de rocha empilhada, de pedra esculpida e mármore partido. - Ora bolas! – resmungou Ulfric, frustrado. - Lá se foi a saída… - completou Messinios. |
Ulfric joined the Royal Guard in a gaping stare to the half circle area, the ruined and crumbled space where many large columns of black stone laid broken and fallen over block and splinter. The floor, a work of yellow marbled slabs, was cracked and sunk into a pit’s shape. There were signs of mosaic lining on the walls, here and there, with ochre and turquoise colours, but most pieces had fallen in giant debacle. And ahead, in front of Solus’ warriors, two massive golden doors loomed, their craft majestic, minute their chiseled relief, wasted over piled rock, sculpted stone and shattered marble. “Damn it!” Ulfric groaned in frustration. “And there goes our exit…” Messinios remarked. |
